Max Institute of Minimal Access, Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery has added a Division of Minimally Invasive Gynaecology Surgery. Dr. Vivek Marwah has joined us as Head & Senior Consultant of the Division. Dr. Punita Bharadwaj strengthens the team as Senior Consultant. Over and above clinical expertise, both Dr. Marwah and Dr. Bharadwaj will add teaching and research as part of their expected contribution.

Prior to joining Max Healthcare, Dr. Marwah was associated as Chief, Unit of Gynae. Endoscopic Surgery, Department of Obst. & Gynaecology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.

Dr. Marwah has performed more than 12000 operative laparoscopic/hysteroscopic procedures along with carrying out fertility enhancing laparoscopic procedures like adhesiolysis, management of severe endometriosis, tubotubal anastomosis, tubal cannulation, etc. His professional memberships include Life Member of the International Society of Gynecologic Endoscopists, Life member of the Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists, and Life member of the Indian Academy of Human Reproduction. Dr. Marwah completed his MBBS from Government Medical College & Hospital, R.D. University, Jabalpur, in 1986, followed by MS (Obys & Gynae) in 1990.

Dr. Punita Bharadwaj, a Consultant in her “past life” at Sir Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, has published notable works such as Step by Step Tubouterine Factors in Infertility and Chapter on Trouble Shooting in in Laparoscopy. She has done her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, 1992, followed by a Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Kasturba Hospital, New Delhi, in 1995. She completed her DNB certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in 1996.
